My Early Impressions of Apple’s iPad & a Quick Hands-on Review
For a long time, the world has been searching for a device whose capabilities and design place it right smack in the middle of a phone and a laptop. But while some have argued that netbooks were the answer, to me they’re nothing more than cheap laptops. Today, that third device came out of stealth, thanks to Apple. It’s essentially...

Apple’s iPhone 4: Is That a Smartphone in Your Pocket?
Apple has already sold an estimated 1-1.5 million units of the iPhone 4, but is it a smartphone? As far as commonly accepted definitions go, the device certainly qualifies: It runs a modern mobile operating system, supports installation of advanced applications and features a high-performance processor. Google Buys BumpTop: 3-D Multi-touch Tablet Interface on the Way?
Is there a tablet in Google’s future with a three-dimensional, multi-touch user interface? It’s increasingly likely, given that the search giant has just acquired BumpTop , a startup whose unique software creates a 3-D environment where users can toss files and folders around as though they were playing cards, stack them in related...

Does Apple Have a “Too Much of a Good Thing” Problem?
From the looks of it, the iPhone 4 is proving to be a hit, even before the release of the device. Apple got 600,000 orders — despite a creaky website and a leaky (U.S.) partner, AT&T. Whether it was the leaked device or just pent-up demand, or just simply impressive capabilities — Apple is going to make mucho dinero with this...
