I am going to be in Paris next week for the Le Web 2009 conference , hanging out with some of the movers and shakers of the European technology scene. Many of you have emailed and wanted to meet up before the event. Instead of trying to make individual plans, I decided perhaps it is time for a meet-up. I emailed Ouriel Ohayon, co-founder of apps discovery company, Appsfire.com , looking for suggestions as to where I should host the event. He connected me to Stephane Distinguin, CEO of FaberNovel a leading web consulting group in France. A few emails later, Distinguin made an extremely generous offer: how about we have the meet-up in his offices. It was an offer…
